Mr. Rangel's students

Student Creed

I will develop myself in a positive manner to avoid anything that would reduce my mental growth or physical health. I will develop self-discipline in order to bring out the best in myself and others. I will use what I learn in class constructively and defensively to help myself and others and never to be abusive or offensive.

Our Goal

CANI: commitment to constant and never ending improvement with black belt excellence!

Our Purpose

To develop oneself physically, mentally and spiritually with great character.

Skill Development

Courage - Our students find the courage to move outside of their comfort zone. They will learn to take on more difficult martial arts moves and skills. They suddenly see their constant, never-ending journey of live-giving improvement. In short, they refuse to become a victim of fate. They learn to create their own destiny.
Staying Power - Our students find joy in improving their physical stamina. They can walk farther, run longer, and practice skills until they get it right. In turn, they learn not to give up. They strive harder and longer to reach goals. Even if at first they fail, they persevere. They won't let self-doubts get in the way of finding ultimate solutions
Keener Focus - They learn to make eye contact with teachers (not just in martial arts). They pay greater attention to what each teachers as well as parents say.
Powerful Self Control - They'll refuse to give in to negative peer pressure and they'll gain a deeper respect for rules.
Improved Focus - They'll learn what's needed, along with the skill to "zero in" on critical tasks at hand. Normal, yet time-wasting, childhood distractions won't get in the way.
Fearless Self-Confidence - Watch as your child finds the courage to open any door life has to offer.
Respect - Your children will learn philosophy and customs to build superior relationships based on friendship and mutual respect. "To get respect one must first give respect."
Discipline - Students learn to develop self-control, self motivation and perseverance through martial arts discipline.
Goal Setting - Setting goals is the road map to life. It has been said that "if you fail to plan, you plan to fail." On the road towards Black Belt, students gain the experience and motivation for success by earning progressively higher belt ranks; success is the reward for goal setting.
Self Defense - They will learn effective and powerful self defense skills as well as the fundamental attitudes appropriate for those skills. The basic attitudes of a successful martial artist, and a successful person, are confidence, respect, discipline, goal setting, and effective leadership.
Black Belt Excellence - Our goal for every student is to help them earn their Black Belt not only in martial arts, but in life. By working toward this goal we create an instructional environment in which individual students develop confidence by accomplishing realistic and attainable goals.
